Description

This is a unique and rare studio reference acetate featuring not one but two songs that turned into big hits for George.

Brother to the Blues and If Drinkin' Don't Kill Me (Her Memory Will)

This was a rare two sided hit from 1980.

Epic Records. No record number on the label.

Label states "Columbia Recording Studios, 34 Music Square East, Nashville. Undated. Studio Reference from Epic Records."

INCLUDED is the original routing slip from the recording studio to the Gregg Geller at Epic Records.  Date shipped: 12/9/1980. Gives the track numbers and a list of 11 people who received copies.

Labels are bright and clean on both sides.  THis is a 10 inch vinyl disk with large blank areas on the outside 3 inches.  There are a few scuffs and smudges onthese blank areas of the disk.  The inner grooved portion looks mint on both sides. I have never played this.  I bought it when it first came onto the market. What appear as white flecks in the picture are just flash spots or reflections.

Comes in the original kraft paper sleeve it was sold to me in.

I'm selling many records from a very large collection that I can no longer house. Check my auctions over the next several months for many fine Blues, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Rockabilly, Hillbilly, Opera, Classical, Pop and Lounge, Punk and New Wave, and Honky Tonk selections from the great 20th century.

Most of these records were purchased new by me.  Items issued before 1970 or extreme rarities were probably purchased secondhand.

I use the standard visual grading method I learned through years of experience with Goldmine and record dealers. These are:

SS - still sealed in original shrinkwrap; Mint - M - Looks like new; VG - minor light scratching or scuffing; Good - G - moderate general wear, possibly including rubbing, more significant or deeper scratching, spotting, color loss, etc. Still playable. Poor - P - significant wear or damage.  I do not expect to sell anything below the VG level unless it is very rare.

Records will be shipped in shippers made for this purpose.  They are breakable and insurance is optional but recommended. I do not accept returns of records because, as the old record shops used to say, they're just too easy to copy or damage.
