Description

This is the much heralded MFSL Gerry Mulligan Concert Jazz Band LP, recorded December 1960 at NY's Village Vanguard. I purchased this in 1984. It is my unopened sealed copy which has three small pieces of scotch tape on the outside plastic wrapper, visible in the pictures, which I added due to brushing by outside plastic cover as it sat in my collection lo these past 34 years. I also have the original 1961 Verve V-8396 LP & the 96kHz/24-bit digital CD Verve put out in 2002. To my ears, the MFSL beats the sound of the other two on my not too shabby playback systems. The sound is crisp, open and airy as only vinyl can be...!  My next favorite of GM is Night Lights (signed) with Art Farmer and Jim Hall followed closely by one of Gerry's last recordings: Lonesome Boulevard with Bill Charlap. Get 'em all!
Item will be well packed and please no international shipping.
