Description
This is an auction for the RARE Gerry Mulligan Plays Mulligan - PRESTIGE 7006 Yellow NY DG RVG - with 446 W. 50th St NYC deep groove DG labels. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder - 'RVG' etched in trailoff both sides. An excellent vintage 1956 performance recording with great sound.
Record is visually graded as VG++ with a small number of mostly light hairlines but almost no spindle marks and it PLAY GRADES Mint- to VG++ but mostly Mint-. This record has a superb, realistic audiophile sound quality - Rudy Van Gelder at his best recording skills - 'RVG" etched in trailoff of both sides. Cover is VG++ with no ring wear, just only slight wear at corner tips, 2" of wear at bottom center edge and a "crunch" at the lower left corner. Back cover has old price sticker and a purple "JAZZ" stamp at upper right but is otherwise beautiful.
One of several hard to find vintage Jazz pressings I'll be listing on Ebay this week.
