A LITTLE BACKGROUND INFORMATION ABOUT purplegallinule
I have been a music lover and vinyl enthusiast since the early 1970s and over the past years have become an established and trusted eBay seller of a large and very wide range of vinyl records. The vast majority are authentic, original pressings featuring quality music from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, but occasionally more recent releases if they are of particular interest.
I am a GENUINE, INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE SELLER not a professional trader, although you can be 100% assured that I will strive hard to apply thoroughly professional standards to every aspect of our eBay dealings. In the unlikely event that we ever did run into any problems then please do not hesitate to contact me and you have my unequivocal guarantee that the matter will be resolved without delay. I am very privileged to have a loyal and highly valued band of returning customers and there is no satisfaction greater than when customers come back for more.
All the records which I sell have been very well cared for, though I will give an honest appraisal of their condition and will put up plenty of photos of the actual records for sale so you can see exactly what you are bidding on. I endeavour to highlight anything in the description which I would want to be made aware of before I decided to place a bid. I am very aware that, as a distance buyer, you are entrusting in the honesty of the item descriptions and I always aim to describe the items truthfully. Should you need further details on a particular record then I will happily provide more details and extra photographs.
Every single record, whether a £5 or £500 album, goes through the same extensive 4-stage deep cleaning process using either professionally constructed ultrasonic or wet vacuum systems using record cleaning fluids of only the finest quality and purity, with techniques and formulae tailored and developed from the experience of cleaning 1000s upon 1000s of albums, so the vinyl is all immaculately clean and dust free. Every record is then inspected under the bright and highly revealing light of an inspection lamp and then the relevant visual results of this are noted in the descriptions.
A note regarding the most important matter of all - the audio - as with all vinyl, even straight out of the cellophane, there can be light crackle or very light 'ticks/pops' during the quiet passages. I have listened carefully to all these records so I will include in the descriptions any aspects of the audio playback which needs to be highlighted and although obviously subjective, the only measure by which I make an informed decision is that ultimately if I wouldn't be absolutely 100% happy to immediately slide the record in alongside my own personal treasured collection, then quite simply it will not be listed for sale on here.
All records will be supplied to you in a high quality clear outer wallet to protect the sleeve and a top quality poly-lined inner for the vinyl.

A set of 6 original vinyl albums featuring Gerry Rafferty in really excellent condition.
The titles are as follows: The Humblebums - Gerry Rafferty and Billy Connolly - 1978 pressing of the 1969 album Gerry Rafferty - 'Can I Have My Money Back' - 1971 Stealers Wheel - Fergustie Park - 1973 Gerry Rafferty - City to City - 1978 Gerry Rafferty - Night Owl - 1979 Gerry Rafferty - Snakes and Ladders - 1980.

The vinyl retains its original glossy sheen with only the very lightest of superficial hairlines visible in bright light and I have thoroughly test played both sides of these albums and playback is excellent. ***PLEASE NOTE*** the 'Fergustie Park' album has a few more visible, though merely superficial hairline scratches, but please be assured that these are merely cosmetic and have absolutely zero effect on the excellent playback. I am listening to the 'Snakes and Ladders' album as I type this and the audio is superb, powerful, yet still with delightful crisp detail and delivering all of that richness and depth characteristic of the music produced from the source of high quality well cared for vinyl.
The sleeves are fabulous little works of art in their own right, all featuring absolutely stunning artwork by renowned artist and playwright John 'Patrick' Byrne who had a long association with Gerry Rafferty throughout his career and are all in excellent condition with only minimal wear commensurate with age and careful handling and present really well in their brand new high quality heavy duty clear protective outer jackets. The spines of all 6 records are nice and sharp and fully readable and all have only very minimal edge wear.
The inner sleeves (with 3 albums as shown in photo#7) are in excellent condition though the vinyl is now housed in brand new high quality poly-lined inner sleeves for safekeeping. Use of these very softly lined inner sleeves is both much gentler on the vinyl and conserves the originals. The original plain inners are included with the other 3 albums for completeness.
Please take a little time to take a look at the photos which were taken today and are of the actual records which are for sale here and although I'm certainly no photographer, are my best attempt to give an accurate reflection of these vintage albums' excellent all round condition.
These records in a nutshell :  a superb looking and sounding little collection of 6 albums all featuring the inimitable genius of legendary singer songwriter Gerry Rafferty. The packaging is in lovely shape all round and the freshly machine deep cleaned vinyl delivers a superb pin sharp audio.
