Description
Ghostbusters 12" Vinyl Single - Luminous Picture Disc
Released in 1984, this is the title track to the Blockbuster movie, Ghostbusters. It reached No.1 in the Billboard Charts and only achieved No.2 in the UK charts. It re-entered the charts again in 2008 and 2021. Even today the film is highly regarded and, whilst it was rebooted in 2016, the film never achieved the success of the first two movies. It also is regarded by many as a box office bomb and never achieved the popularity of the original 2 movies. The latest film "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" released in 2021, is considered a success and was directed by the son of the original director of the first two movies, Ivan Reitman, and who's father passed, very sadly in 2022.
This luminous 12" vinyl single, is a bit of a rarity these days, but when hit by a light source will glow in the dark for around 30 minutes. It is in very good condition with no scratches although the plastic sleeve has split down a small section on one side.
I'm selling this item due to having no record player, but I enjoyed listening to it when I was younger and I hope that the buyer will enjoy it too. I'm also having a clearout of other items including more vinyl albums, 7" and 12" singles.
