Description
Aggie Fan? If so, here are a few items you might find worth your interest. The first is a 45rpm case for Songs of Texas A&M by the Texas Aggie Band, Singing Cadets and Aggieland Orchestra. The case is in remarkable shape for it's age. Please look at the photos as there are spots on the cover, spine, and back where the color has rubbed off or torn just a bit. Inside the case is the name Dan Alexander. That was my dad. He was in the Corp and these were part of his record collection. Unfortunately, there is only one of the records left (I think there were originally 3) and the dust jacket for a second record. The record has The Twelfth Man on side 1A and Spirit of Aggieland on side 1B. The record is in outstanding condition with no scratches or marks. Both of the dust jackets are in outstanding condition too but I don't know if they are original or not as they were in the case for as long as I can remember.
One of the books is called the The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band by Donald B. Powell and Mary Jo Powell. Copyright is 1994 and is a First Edition. My mom purchased this book and it looks like she never opened it. None of the pages have any creases or tears, nor is the spine bent. There is a wear line on the front dust jacket and a couple of small blemishes on the back side of the dust jacket though so please look at the photos.
The second book is called The Pride of Aggieland by Homer Jacobs. The copyrite is 2002 and is also a First Edition. This one also doesn't look like my mom opened it. There is the remnants of a round sticker (price tag?) on the front dust jacket, however, no part of the cover is torn. None of the pages have any creases or tears, nor is the spine bent.
I'm not a book dealer so I don't know the proper terms to use regarding the condition of the two books. Therefore, if you have questions please reach out and ask so I can take additional photos or provide clarification. I want you to be delighted with your purchase. Buyer pays actual shipping costs as I don't believe in padding a sale with extra fees. That's dishonest. I will wrap each item in bubble wrap and then put an additional layer of bubble wrap around the entire stack before creating a box for it to be shipped in. I will send by the cheapest rate (media mail) unless the buyer (at their expense) prefers something different.
If you live in the San Antonio area, you're welcome to pick it up in person and save on shipping costs.
