Description
Ultra rare 1962 UK mono issue on Esquire records. This is the first UK pressing of this 1960 album originally released on New Jazz (Prestige) in the US. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. A killer session and a very sought-after LP. Nice laminated flipback sleeve. Never reissued on vinyl!
Cover: G : has been taped on all four sides. Yellow tape marks on rear. Seam split to bottom edge. Cover has been cleaned up a little but still shows small signs of tape marks and general wear. Actually looks pretty presentable - see the photos to make your own mind up
Vinyl: VG : This is an ex-library record and has clearly been played! Has a handful of hairlines and minor scuffs, but nothing that seriously affects play. Sounds nice and strong with background noise in the quieter passages, but overall a solid listening copy.
Labels: G : Library stamps
Overall a solid entry-level copy of a highly sought-after LP. If you're after audiophile perfection this probably isn't for you, but it's significantly cheaper than any copies that have sold in the last few years...
