Description

Rare limited edition of Gil Evans European Tour July, 1978 on an unidentified white label pressing that shows only "A" and "B" stamped in purple. The printed insert, though, gives all personnel and shows the tracks on Side A as "Thoroughbred" and Side B as "Stone Free". The playing surface is mint, perhaps unplayed. The jacket is clean and bright throughout. It can't be determined where the two tracks were performed, since the Evans orchestra played them at four concerts in July, 1978 as part of the tour that took them to Austria, Holland, Germany, France, and Italy. The personnel, as shown on the insert, is correct, and includes Steve Lacy, Arthur Blythe, and Lou Soloff.
