Gil Melle Quintet with Urbie Green and Tal Farlow 10" "Modern Jazz Series" Blue Note LP 5033.

This the 1953 extremely rare, deep-groove, Frame Cover, Mono 10" Vinyl of Gil Melle Quintet Volume 2 with Urbie Green and Tal Farlow 10" "Modern Jazz Series" on the  Blue Note Records 767 Lexington Ave NYC labels of  Blue Note BLP 5033. "P" or "ear," and "9M" in Deadwax. Musicians include Melle, Urbie Green, Tal Farlow, Clyde Lombardi, and Joe Morello.

This is an incredibly well-recorded and punchy sounding disc with excellent detail and resolution of all instruments. Clean with no distortion. Side 1 plays clean. Side 2 has a two-inch feelable scratch that sounds through last half of track 2 and first half of track 3. No skips. Vinyl has excellent gloss. Labels clean, Side 2 label minor foxing. Frame cover is in largely excellent condition with nearly perfect corners. "New Faces-New Sounds" on back cover, which has minor wear.  See photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers (with very revealing ribbon tweeters). Record cleaned on VPI 16.5.
