'Nothing New' is an album of recordings that Gil Scott-Heron and Richard Russell made in New York during the sessions for 'I'm New Here'. It is comprised of songs that Gil chose from his back catalogue, just voice and piano. Each song he chose was from a different album of his. He carefully curated the selection, so this album is unique and serves as an excellent introduction to his previous output. The sleeves are silkscreened on a chipboard LP cover with the wonderful liner notes from Richard Russell, a full colour inner sleeve that pictures which Gil LPs the original songs are from, and a letter from Gil talking about some of his favourite music.

The track list is as follows:

'Did You Hear What They Said'
'Better Days Ahead'
'Household Name' (Interlude)
'Your Daddy Loves You'
'Changing Yourself' (Interlude)
'Pieces Of A Man'
'Enjoying Yourself' (Outro)
'Alien (Hold On To Your Dreams)'
'Before I Hit The Bottom' (Interlude)
'95 South (All The Places We’ve Been)'
'The Other Side'
'The On/Off Switch' (Interlude)
'Blue Collar'
'On Bobby Blue Bland' (Outro)

I can post the item standard post for £3.50 or have it tracked and signed for for £7.00; please specify after you've won the auction.
