Description
Probably the best work done by this Swedish Latin Jazz Combo. “Ya-me-le” is an absolute classic-- a sublime, seventies Brazilian jam that feels like warm wind, a tropical drink, and a touch of nostalgia. Thievery Corporation played that track on their Outernational Sound Mix, finally getting it out to an audience larger than jazz enthusiasts and bossa collectors and a rare sampling of deejays (Gilles, Nicola Conte, Rainer Truby, etc). This LP contains many other solid tracks in the Sergio Mendes vein including "Calico Baby," "Pais Tropical," "Somewhere in the Hills" and "Que Maravilla." Original Swedish pressing--not a Japanese repress. This is an absolute must have for anyone into jazzy downtempo, nujazz, raregroove, and jazzdance.
