Description
For sale is an exceedingly scarce example of The Kinks promo set "God Save The Kinks," with inserts and the lp "Then Now and Inbetween." On the two-tone orange Reprise label, Pro 328.
Box set retains all of the original inserts except for a yellow page that advertised other Kinks releases. The puzzle is complete and the condition is excellent, except for a chip in the sticker (see photo), Sticker retains its protective backing, but a couple pieces have fallen off as the sticker dried and lost it stickiness over the years. A later Kinks button I found in the set, in addition to the one that came with the set, is included. A superior example of this spectacularly rare promo set, which was sent out to radio stations and djs to generate interest in the band as it embarked on a tour of the US.
Condition:
Box has some seam splits at the corners and general wear (see photos). The sticker inside has a small chip (see photo). Inserts are otherwise in excellent condition. Vinyl rates VG+, and inside lp album jacket rates NM. Lp retains its original Reprise inner sleeve.
