Description
Disguised as the Golden Gate Orchestra, the California Ramblers play a peppy "I Miss My Swiss" on Maxsa 1535, still its rare original sleeve. There is a good trumpet solo. Adrian Rollini has a brief, straight solo. Arthur Fields sings.
On the flip side, Karl Randolph and his Orchestra play an equally peppy "Pretty Puppy," also with a good trumpet solo and a vocal by Fields. I have no information on this side, but it sounds to me like it could be the same band.
This record is in E condition on the "Swiss" side. The "Puppy" side is in V+ condition, and the "Puppy" label has needle runs and Cherbourg shop sticker. The sleeve has a three-inch seam split on the bottom and a half-inch tear, but is in remarkably good shape for a 96-year-old.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
