Gong LP Angel's Egg (Radio Gnome Invisible Part 2) / UK First Pressing

Rare original first pressing from 1973 on Virgin, V2007. Note The Black and white label and gatefold sleeve. Sadly no booklet with this original first pressing. Cover is VG+, no splits, spine is very nice indeed, just the occasional slight edgewear on the corners, not far from EX considering age. Vinyl is also VG. Some slight marks half way through the first track on Side 1 which cause the odd click in this quiet number but other than that plays very nicely. A nice copy of this first pressing. Angels Egg is the fourth studio album by Gong, and the second one released on Virgin Records in December 1973. It was recorded using the Manor Mobile studio at Gong's communal home, Pavillon du Hay, Voisines, France, and mixed at The Manor, Oxfordshire, England. The album was produced by "Gong under the direction of Giorgio Gomelsky". Angels Egg is the second in Gong's Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy of albums. The trilogy forms a central part of the Gong mythology. The original album did not have an apostrophe in the title. Stereo LP, Gatefold sleeve.
