A rare original promotional flyer for the Purple Gang's 1967 single 'Granny Takes a Trip'.
This fabulous artwork was designed by Nigel Waymouth.
The Purple Gang were one of the most important groups in this period in contemporary music history, indeed they rubbed shoulders with 1967’s hierarchy.
Originating from the Northern town of Stockport they got the attention of Joe Boyd (he of Pink Floyd, Incredible String Band, Fairport Convention et al fame) and one of 1967’s important scene makers and they were to be heard in the all important 1967 hangout the UFO club.
This is a fascinating document from this artistic period.
The flyer measures 162mm x 120 mm (6.5 inches x 4.5 inches approximately) and is in good condition.
