Up for auction is Grant Green 'Solid' Music Matters SRX vinyl 33 1/3 RPM 180g LP NEW MINT Sealed. Condition is "New".
This is a factory sealed copy of the very limited run Music Matters SRX series of Grant Green's Blue Note title 'Solid', in stereo, remastered by Kevin Gray in 2019 on the low noise SRX vinyl formulation. Although Solid was recorded in 1964 by Rudy Van Gelder during the Blue Note golden years, there were a number of Blue Note titles for various reasons that didn't see official release until much later. Solid wasn't released by Blue Note until 1979, so this Kevin Gray 2019 remaster holds particular interest as there was no original 'RVG in the deadwax' 60's release.
I've included a number of pics of the sides and corners, everything is in great shape with no seam splits. Music Matters - due to customer feedback and concern around seam splits during shipping - did release some of the SRX's in factory shrink with the vinyl placed outside the cover in a separate white jacket, as can be seen here.
