Description
Up for bid is a Grateful Dead, American Beauty LP from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. This is an Original Master Recording; paperwork from the sound lab is included (see pic). The stamp or writing on the disc is MFSL-1-014 with 12 separately.
NOTE: This listing was relisted after a bidder accidentally bid too much on the original auction and won the LP, but wanted to cancel his bid; so you may have seen this auction before.
The front and back LP cover are nice, with no ring wear and nice gloss. There is some wear at the edges on the sides and a 3 1/2" seam split at the top right that can be taped. Album description on the spine is legible. The disc is in excellent condition, well-cared for. I only noted a few minor marks, including a light mark along the groove on one side (see pic 4).
The pictures likely have reflections and shadows in them that are difficult to avoid. I use the following Goldmine grading system for grading the disc:
M (mint) Record is new, shiny, never played.
NM (near mint) Record is like new, probably played a few times, but it doesn't effects on the quality of a sound.
EX (excellent) Record in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise.
VG+ (very good plus) Record has been played more times, it has more marks and surface noise, it doesn't skip.
VG (very good) Record has been played many times, may be more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing.
G (good) Record is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find better
