Description
For sale is a copy of the Grateful Dead 5 LP Box Set of the 5/9/77 show from Buffalo, NY. This was released as part of record store day 2020. Rhino R1 607336 603497848959. Nine sides of music with the last side being an etching.
Box and booklet are in excellent shape with no major flaws. The shrink was also kept - sliced carefully to remove the box. The records are also in great shape with no major flaws - just a small number of light surface marks/scuffs that were present on the records when I bought them. There are no skips and only occasional faint surface noise with the most notable being a very low/faint click over 7 or 8 rotations toward the end of ‘The Other One’ which was present when I bought the record and which is why I graded it a VG+ (see below for the Goldmine definition). I like to be as conservative as possible when grading - I’m not a storefront but a person who also collects (and listens to) music and I appreciate honest gradings that lean toward being conservative. I am the original owner and handled it carefully. Comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) or EXCELLENT (E)
A good description of a VG+ record is “except for a couple minor things, this would be Near Mint.” Most collectors, especially those who want to play their records, will be happy with a VG+ record, especially if it toward the high end of the grade (sometimes called VG++ or E+).
VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable.
VG+ covers should have only minor wear. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. Covers with cut-out markings can never be considered Near Mint.
