Description
The group was named the Gravity Adjusters Expansion Band. They produced atmospheric drone soundscapes on a combination of acoustic and electric instruments - some of them innovative homemade instruments.
This is a SEALED original copy of their first record from 1973 on the Los Angeles Nocturne label, home to a number of sought after records, such as the one by Arthur Lee Harper.
From the back cover:
"The GAEB had its beginnings in the late 60's. It emerged as a music ensemble simultaneously with the experimental sculptural instrumental creations of designer Richard Waters…this may be the first time a complete sound journey has been taken (during which time many of the instruments may be heard simultaneously) and played by foundation members of the GAEB."
"The Instruments: Diatonic Sound Generator, Bazooki, Pipe Drums, Aeolian Space Horn, Synthesizer, waterphones, mytar, saws, bass violin, horizontal and upright phoniums, bird calls, microtonal revolving sound generator, sgourd, superball mallets, watergong drums, log drums, springs, keyboards, assorted gourds, princess oil can, and others" Not only rare but musically excellent and sealed too.
The esteemed Acid Archives website sums it up very well in few words as "Spacy experimental cosmic trance. Homemade instruments, sound generators."

Anyway, this is a superb LP musically, is incredibly rare in any condition and this is a sealed copy! It looks flat to me but I can open and check before sending (my keeper copy was sealed and is perfectly flat).
