You are bidding on the complete collection of The Greatest Jazz Recordings of All Time issued by the Franklin Mint on September 28, 1983. This is an amazing collection if you love the greatest music on earth, Jazz. There are 25 boxed sets, which were released every 3 months for five years. Each box is identified by a specific theme, has 4 vinyl records, and a 10-20 page booklet with pictures of the jazz artists, a complete history of each recording and all details including dates, place recorded, musicians, etc. You get a total of 100 Vinyl 12" LP's.
I love this collection and hate to have to sell it. This is from my own personal collection. Each record has been played 2, maybe 3 times at the most by me and only me. If it has been played two or three times then it was to make tapes of the albums. Some have only been played once. I handle my records with extreme delicate care and have had them stored in their original boxes in a temperature-controlled environment. The records and booklets are in excellent condition. Some of the boxes might show a little wear at the corners, but are all in very good condition.
I won’t list the performers nor recordings because it is just too numerous to list. However, look at my pictures to see a list of boxes by name and a list of all the performers. Because shipping will vary depending on your location, I will have to calculate it after the sale. Because of the heavy weight, the shipping fees might be as high, but not more than $60.00, and could be as low as $40.00. I will be sending it either by USPS Media Mail, or UPS ground, depending on what is cheaper and insuring it for at least $500 (Original value). If you live in Colorado, we can make arrangements for you to pick it up in person and shipping will be $0.
If you don’t mind paying for the extra shipping of another box, then you will also receive the original album cabinet made specifically for the 25 boxes in this collection. (Please see the scanned picture for a picture of the cabinet.) It is still in very good condition with some scratches on the cherry wood finish. It measures 16 ½” tall, 14 ½” deep, and 24” wide. Because it is also fairly heavy, shipping the cabinet will be approximately an additional $20.00.
On Dec-11-06 at 10:06:35 PST, seller added the following information: I'm sorry the scanned images of performers and list of boxed sets didn't come out better. The resolution on my computer showed they looked great, but when I uploaded them onto the ebay listing the resolution got worse, thus making it impossible to read the performer list and almost impossible to read the boxed set list.
