Green Day Dookie Rare 1994 Original Pressing Vinyl LP W/ Ernie Back Cover EX+

This auction is for a clean copy of the original 1994 U.S. pressing of Green Day's third studio LP Dookie. This is in the original sleeve with the Sesame Street Ernie puppet photo on the back cover, which was removed on subsequent editions (presumably over IP/copyright concerns, although there are assorted more creative/less plausible theories floating around to explain the modification). I bought this new when it came out, and have played it no more than five or six times. The vinyl is great shape, with no audible artifacts or surface noise, but I am grading it EX+ to be conservative as it does have some minor visual evidence of playing/handling, mainly some light sleeve scuffing and light spindle marks on the label. I'm also grading the sleeve EX as it has some ring wear and minor edge and corner wear, though no more than you would expect from a well-cared-for-but-20-year-old item. No seam splitting or other significant defects. The original lyric insert is included and is NM. Money issues are forcing me to sell off my records, and I'm pricing this one with a low reserve. I'm not a dealer--these are my own records lovingly cared for over the years. Thanks for checking out my auction. Although I'm new to selling, my goal is to provide the same type of buying experience that I appreciate when buying myself.

Shipping for this item will be the actual calculated cost of the service you select, plus $5 to cover packing it properly (a necessity when shipping expensive vinyl) and insurance.

When shipping vinyl, this is my packing process:
1. Records are removed from the outer picture sleeve and any printed inner sleeve, and placed in standard plain white sleeves (the type with die-cut label holes in the center on both sides) for travel outside the picture sleeve. (This is to prevent seam splitting in transit).
Printed inner sleeve and/or any other insert material goes back in the outer sleeve for travel.
2. Everything is then placed in a heavy-duty poly bag, and taped up securely (so that the contents will fare better in the event that the package gets wet or is exposed to weather en route).
3. The item is securely sandwiched between very sturdy 12.5"x12.5" chipboard stiffeners (these are primarily to protect the corners of the picture sleeve from damage in transit, but also make it less likely that the entire package can be bent or warped, while also adding a layer of protection against damage from sharp objects).
