This is an extremely rare TEST PRESS of the first Green River LP, "Come on Down" on Homestead Records from 1985.
878It comes in a plain white cardboard sleeve with, handwritten in black pen, "GREEN RIVER - Come On Down". The 12" LP itself is in a plain white inner paper sleeve that has, handwritten in black marker "HMS 028 (crossed out) 031 Green River - Come On Down". The record has plain white labels with HMS-031-A1 MT etched on the rollout of side A and HMS-031-B1 MT etched on the rollout of side B.
Green River was an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1984. Although the band had very little commercial impact outside their native Seattle, Green River were pioneers of the grunge music genre. The grunge style was featured both in Green River's own music and the music its members would create in future bands, including Pearl Jam and Mudhoney (Mark Arm and, on this album only, Steve Turner).
