Description
Grier Bros – ‘Weeping Baby All The Time’ / ‘I Got A Good Woman’ – Melody Disc 101 – (US)
No introduction necessary, this is a monster tune. This particular copy is not in top nick, however; please read on. While there are no marks or scratches, and certainly no skipping, the record looks rough and has probably been played in a lowdown Philly jukebox quite a bit. ‘Weeping Baby’ starts out pretty good, but by the time you reach the last twenty seconds or so, the background noise is pretty overwhelming. Still, the pressing is very loud, so you don’t notice it initially. And the first two thirds are pretty decent, at least up until circa 2:10. The flip plays a little better perhaps, but suffers from a couple of clicks right at the top. Anyway, the proof is in the pudding, as they say, and I’ve included full mp3’s of both sides. See what you think! Starting it low; a chance to obtain an at least serviceable copy of this great dancer at a low price!
Condition: VG- or thereabouts at the start, then the sound deteriorates and becomes pretty bad during the last twenty seconds (please listen to the clips). Worn labels with smudges and ring wear (please see scans).
