Description
I purchased this album in the secondary market advertised as near mint and following my own appraisal I agree with this. Following a light cleaning I played the album through the Grado PS1000E's and the sound was perfect with no popping, ticking or clicking. A visual inspection of the album under light revealed only the most faint marks and based on the play and inspection numerically I am scoring the vinyl a 96. The cover is near mint is a well however numerically I am scoring it a 91, which I feel is within the lower end of the near mint spectrum, like a solid A-. The bottom corners show nominal wear, with a small bump on the bottom left. All seams are perfect. What hurts the grading of the cover the most is on the back cover with what I believe to be a factory defect along part of the right seam and a bit of the top seam. Some of the spots have tiny dimples and light discoloration (and it's the dimples that are making me think it happened at the factory) however despite this I don't think it's quite enough to knock the cover into B+ land. Regarding shipping the album is shipped within cardboard but with the vinyl outside of the jacket inside of a Whiplash record mailer. If you have any other questions please let me know and thank you for looking!
