Description
Groundhogs Thank Christ for the Bomb UK Liberty LBS 83295 Blue Label 1st pressing
Matrices LBS 82395 A1/B1
The record is in near mint condition. It lies flat on the turntable and has an as new sheen. There are no marks except for the lightest of wispy sleeve marks under very bright light. Needless to say these make no contribution to the sound which is excellent throughout. This really is a stunning copy.
The labels are excellent. They are blue, indicating a first pressing from 1970 (pressings from 1971 onwards have the much more familiar black label). They do have some spindle marks indicating the lp has been played but absolutely no other defects.
The cover is graded ex-. It has little or none of the edge/spine wear this flimsy sleeve is so prone to. There is some light corner wear and one not too obvious mark just above the writing on the right of the inner gatefold (see photos). There are some marks and a little rubbing at one spot on the front cover though the marks may be removable. Otherwise the sleeve is lovely, clean and crisp.
This is a stunning copy of this very rare lp. There are genuinely very few of these in any condition. Copies of this quality really do not come up very often. This one really is a final upgrade.
