Description

This is the 1987 first UK pressing of Appetite For Destruction with the subsequently banned cover painted by the artist Robert Williams. The vinyl plays through both sides with no skips or jumps and sounds pretty good. Some minor crackle in quiet places but nothing to detract from the music. The vinyl looks good but under a bright light there are several hairlines and blemishes visible although nothing that seems to interfere with playback so conservatively graded VG although could prob be considered VG+
The Outer sleeve is in great condition considering it's going to be 40 years old next year. Obviously some wear visible but it seems to have done a lot better than some of my other records over the years. I've tried to show cover wear in the photos so check those out. I seem to remember this having a printed inner sleeve with the lyrics on at some point but that has disappeared down the line somewhere so the vinyl is now sleeved in a generic white paper inner.
All my records are from my personal collection. I'm not an avid collector or dealer, just someone who likes records and needs to clear some space for newer records. I make sure I play everything before I list it to make sure it doesn't have any skips and jumps. It also gives me an opportunity to find out if I might want to keep it. A lot of these records haven't been played for 20 years or so.

I play everything using a Technics SL-1200mk1 with an Audio Technica VM95e stylus so nothing top end and fancy. I try and grade to the Goldmine standard (which is a visual quality standard only), but also go the extra step and play them through.

I give all the records a brush with a vinyl cleaning brush before I play them but I am sure many of them will come up a lot nicer than graded if they were to be given a proper clean with vinyl record cleaning fluid in a proper bath or ultrasonic cleaner or whatever. They are from my youth much of the time, I won't go into detail about the rooms and company in which they may have been listened to in the past. You can probably imagine.

Please check all the photo's for sleeve and inner condition though I do try to describe everything as accurately as I can.
