Some folk bought vinyl and never played it; keeping it hermetically sealed like a rare treasure. For these now you will pay high prices. But these are available in minuscule quantities.

The rest of of bought it for its intended purposed: to be played and enjoyed and as a soundtrack to our lives.

Some of my records got played a lot and some not much at all. Some were bought new and some second, third or fourth hand. I'm moving on my collection to the next keeper of the flame.

AUDIO PLAYBACK RESULTS

We are 35 years too late for this LP to sound like a CD

Expect some background crackle, and check my audio review to see how much.

I'm listening through studio headphones, played back on a Thorens deck with a heavier stylus setting. I've given the vinyl a quick hand clean with L'Art Du Son Cleaner, and I alway recommend further cleaning as I haven't played this for a long time. Bare in mind that sound reproduction varies from system to system. I will tell you how I hear it. Remember that you  can return the item if you find it unsatisfactory. And please get in touch before rushing ahead to leave bad feedback, you won't lose out so keep calm and get in touch, I aim to please.

S1 VG-

We’re off to a bad start as track one pops, has some repeated clicks in intro, skipping 3 times in the same section before the verse section starts, then everything is ok. I didn’t have to move the needle on. Probably caused by sloppy cuing and beer. The audio in general is excellent; no loss in the recorded quality, no background noise. Reasonably quiet between tracks. It’s so easy, is sounding as it should so far. Night train still sounds awesome. The guitars have all been loud and clear and I can easily hear all the funky guitar harmonics at play here. There was a little bit of crackle during the last bar of the outro and a couple of low pops in the intro of Out ta get me. Great production on this whole album. Appetite for Destruction was always on my Walkman when I first moved to London back in the early 90’s. Mr Brownstone starts without fault, great! No issues there. This next track is one that you will find suffers from overplaying. Sounding good so far and we’re up to the first intro solo. There was a tiny amount of crackle at the very start, quite low, and doesn’t hang around. Such a monster of a track, sounded fine.

Over all a decent sounding side albeit the skipping issue right at the very start; I can’t believe it! But it turned ok better than ok in the long run. I’m grading this side as very good minus; it would have been excellent had it not jumped. The audio in general is excellent.

S2 EX

Wow, first ting you notice is how deep the bass sounds on this track. Boom! It kicks in with a very punchy mix with the bass quite up front. A great start with no issues. This will be a great album to blast out those lock down blues; just don’t do it drunk and trash your apartment; I know I would. Not trash your apartment, mine. Only yooooOOOUUUuuuuuu! Sounded great. Ok a little bit of crackle at the start that is pretty low level. It is Sweet Child of mine, and I expected more, we’re lucky. I’m listening through headphones and you pick up a lot of interesting things going on in the mix that you may miss through speakers.  The audio remains sounding as good as it should, big, loud and in your face. Pretty quiet between tracks, and we’re into You’re crazy. Blazin’ audio. Music to riot to. More percussion fish thing please and a side of Peter Frampton voice box. Rocket Queen sees out this great sounding side.

I found the audio over all to be better than expected and of a well preserved condition. In spite of surface marks this side plays with out issue. No skips and very little background noise noticeable in general. This would make a very decent playing copy. I think you will be pleased. I’m grading this side as Excellent.

VINYL CONDITION

GOOD / GOOD

Laying flat with nice glossy sides. It was the 80's, and this was the biggest rock album of the decade. Anyone that bought it and didn't play it often would be the exception to the norm. This is a well played copy. The grooves show little sign of wear and none appear overplayed. Both sides do have numerous fine superficial marks such as sleeve or cleaning marks. Both sides have moderate weight scratches of varying lengths, and both sides have a few hard scratches here and there. So, not looking that great really. I'm going to check and listen to how this sounds and report back. Visually it grades as Good which is a little generous.

SLEEVE CONDITION

Very good plus

The cover as you can see is in great shape. No splits, no tears no writing. There is some rubbing to the corners. The spine looks pretty good. Some light creasing. Grades as very good plus

Inner is very good, some creasing, no splits. New spare inner always provided.

I sell this to you in good faith that it is fit for purpose.

Should any issues arise, rest assured you will be refunded.
