*** A little history...In late 54' Alfred Lion and Frank Wolff decided to record SILVER'S first session as leader, Silver chose his dream band: ART BLAKEY, KENNY DORHAM, HANK MOBLEY, AND DOUG WATKINS. Much to his surprise, Blue Note provided him with this group. From these sessions were born the JAZZ MESSENGERS.
