HACKENSACK - THE DUO These two Vinyl albums cover the Hackensack story from demo recordings in 1970 to the re-union album of 2017. This is a must for all fans of a band who deserved to be as big as Free, touring with them twice, yet ultimately let down by Island Records.
1. Give it Some - has the early studio recordings circa 1970-72 many of which were recorded to gain the deal with Island Records and then as proposed singles. Only River Boat survived to become the B side to their Island single Movin' On - before Hackensack were taken over by Polydor. Gatefold cover with full band history by Pete Sarfas. AALP105
2. The Final Shunt - it sounds like the 1970s but was recorded in 2017 and features Hackensack founder members Nicky Moore and Stu Mills. This is the album Island should have released instead of Polydor's 'Up the Hard Way' in 1973. AALP110
