Up for grabs an original MANOS HADJIDAKIS feat. ALEXANDRA "Folk Songs" 12" vinyl LP album, 1980 first press on Zodiac Records (88087) brown/zodiac chart label, matrix nos.: ZOD 88087 A II MT 410 L27/B II MT 410 L27, semi-glossy cardboard cover, antistatic inner, made in Greece, condition cover: Near Mint, vinyl/labels: pristine Mint unplayed (actual pics shown, zoom over).

Cinematic orchestrator Hadjidakis standards made internationally famous by Nana Mouskouri and Melina Mercouri entrusted to newcomer Alexandra. Music for piano, voice (Alexandra) and youth orchestra issued as a side-project to the legendary "Lilipoupoli" Greek state Radio children's programme (1976-1980) that introduced a new vanguard generation (Lena Platonos/Savina Yannatou). Marvelous cover artwork by folk painter Themis Tsironis (1938-2018) taking over from Tsarouhis heralding the '80s with a breeze of fresh air. Pivotal album, first press limited edition, defunct label, demolished press factory, rare and in such condition.
