HALPHAS are from Mainz and put their debut album on the table with ''Dawn Of A Crimson Empire''. The fiver makes a good figure & plays Black Metal, as he used to come from Norway or Finland. From the beginning, the band focused on the creation of uncompromising, original black metal, characterized by epic melodies, catchy mid-tempo passages and brachial but also multifaceted vocals. The songs are about death, hatred, pain and dark desires. The eternal struggle and the inner striving for strength are a central lyrical theme. In the 49 minutes of ''Dawn Of A Crimson Empire'' they proclaim their Black Metal in a rather iconic, catchy, gripping, sometimes emotional way & the Lord of Darkness is summoned along with his demons. Above all, there is a lot of bundled passion for the Black Metal of the Scandinavian school in every single note of the album & its 8 songs. The white/black splattered vinyl version, with printed innersleeve, is limited to 100 copies only.
