damn rare.. hamilton bohannon 12", US promo-only release on mercury 1978 (MK-71). "me and the gang" (6:24) b/w "the street dance" (7:55). was a big favourite for harvey, heard him batter this repeatedly shortly after paul johnson's "get get down" came out.. (paul johnson stole the piano break from this 12"; harv was playing a bit of "get down" then sliding straight "me and the gang".. very effective too!). there's a nice touch right at the end of the track too as it suddenly mutates into an early version of "let's start the dance" for the last 30 seconds..! printed sleeve vg to vg+ (no rips or tears, very slight stain on front where couple stickers were removed (see scan). vinyl is vg++ with great gloss, few light scuffs, no serious marks. a disco classic.
