Description
HANK GARLAND's "Jazz In New York City" self-released on his own label (HG-1001-LPS) in STEREO with no date on the album but recorded before his 1961 debilitating accident, with the album appearing to be 60's vintage. Scan 3 shows label. There is a note from his brother on the back cover alluding to whether Hank will play again and also alluding to the stellar musicians who appear with him on these 7 cuts, without naming them!
The AUTOGRAPH (Scan 2) reads, "Best Wishes, Hank "Sugarfoot" Garland". It was acquired already signed.
The LP is in NEAR MINT PLUS condition, and appears that it has been played 2 or 3 times judging from the few spindle marks on the labels, with no marks or scratches on the clean, nice gloss vinyl. On playing it is absolutely clean, with an occasional light tick.
The Cover is in NEAR MINT condition, with all seams fully intact, corners generally sharp, and the front and back showing light wear, with the autograph somewhat light (& probably faded), having been written with a light pen it appears.
