This is the 1957, First Pressing, 

Flat Rim,

"RVG” etched, Deep Groove, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of HANK MOBLEY’s “Hank Mobley Quintet” on the "47 West 63rd New York 23” labels of Blue Note BLP 1550.

Flat Rim VINYL plays well, mostly clean, with consistent light surface noise,pops or ticks. Noticeable in piano and bass solos. Powerful bass. First pressing Blue Note quality. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and clear. Brief repeating tick Side 2, #1. No Skips. No distortion. Very Good gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it).  The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd New York 23” labels are generally clean with spindle marks. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in very Good shape, corners worn, some wrinkling on left border. Laminate strong. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23" back jacket shows pen writing, stains, wear, see photos.

This LP was play-tested. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
