Description
HANK MOBLEY No room for squares VINYL LP (Japan) Blue Note – BN 4149, BST 84149 OBI (1991 – Japanese pressing of 1963/64 album, which is actually the only Japanese vinyl pressing of this released.)
Hank Mobley fell out with Miles Davis and he had drug problems that affected his career but he was one of Blue Note’s most consistently popular artists and recorded around 20 albums as leader for them. This album features Hank Mobley tenor sax, Lee Morgan trumpet, Andrew Hill or Herbie Hancock piano, John Ore or Butch Warren bass and Philly Joe Jones drums, and comes from two separate 1963 sessions and was originally issued in America in 1964. This copy is a high quality pressing with insert and obi[original write-up]
Record Grade: EX+ to M-
(Looks like it's been kept carefully since purchase Possibly unplayed. It's very clean under strong light. )
Cover Grade: EX+ to M-
(Great cover - no bends, no splits, no shelf wear, no dings. Japanese language insert is also clean. Obi is all good.)
Nice copy.
FREE SHIPPING TO AUSTRALIA (registered post on $20+ items)
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS NOTE: Import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Please be aware of these costs before bidding. (International Postage terms: see below) Posted with vinyl outside of sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in transit. Packed in solid cardboard. Japanese pressings are usually heavier packages.
IMPORTANT: All records graded carefully under strong light.
I have a long standing good reputation for grading and I use
the UK grading system which includes EX grades. I am used to
strict Japanese grading standards. If a disc is graded EX you
will not receive something that should be VG+. On the off chance
that happens, please contact me and I will sort it out.
International Postage:
These discs are generally aimed at Australian buyers,
but I have a lot of experience posting internationally.
International postage will be an $ AU 30 flat rate .
(I'll cover the difference, including tracking etc., and if actual postage
does happen to come in lower I'll refund the difference back.)
If you would like to combine international postage on multiple items
please wait for an invoice.
NOTE: I am going to be selling my own collection of clean
Japanese pressings with obi's and other discs this year.
I have issues with storage because my wife and I have been
relocating between Australia and Korea.
Vinyl is visually graded only. My sound system is still in storage in
another city.
Grading note: Very clean near mint records may sometimes have tiny
specks of dust or very small ultra thin fabric strands (which can sometimes
be mistaken for marks) on the vinyl, which come from the inside of
inner sleeves. Both of these will likely be removed by the stylus on first play.
If I can, I send items out in anti-static inner sleeves to try to minimize
this.
