Description
(a) WE GRADE THE VINYL AS EXCELLENT (EXC). Under bright light there are some very minor superficial marks (mainly sleeve marks) are VISIBLE, but they appear fairly insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are not visually distracting. The vinyl looks great. The original luster is completely intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles.
(b) The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!
(c) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
(d) We grade the cover as VERY GOOD (VG) would be much higher but the top seam is split. There is one clipped corner. The spine is in fair shape, mostly rubbing shelf ware, see pics. The cover has the "47 West 63rd Street New York 23" address on back bottom. This is a thick cardboard cover, American style.
(e) This is the mono pressing.
(f) Original blue & white Blue Note United Artists microgroove mono label with blue text.
(g) hand etched matrix numbers in dead wax area.
