An original deep grove Blue Note pressing of Hank Mobleys Soul Station. RVG stamp with “P” and BLP 4031 etched in the runoff of both sides. 

Media in EX condition. No spindle wear or feel able marks. Very good lustre on both sides. 

Sleeve has excellent sheen with signature of previous owner on the rear. Top right corner has very minor mark.

Typically when I grade I use the Goldmine standard. This falls in the VG+ category. I have copied and pasted goldmines wordings for convenience -

"VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) or EXCELLENT (E)

A good description of a VG+ record is “except for a couple minor things, this would be Near Mint.” Most collectors, especially those who want to play their records, will be happy with a VG+ record, especially if it toward the high end of the grade (sometimes called VG++ or E+).

VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable."

The item I have listed falls easily in this category. I've owned this Mobley for 5yrs. At time of purchase, the record was cleaned using a Keith Monks record cleaner (string cleaner) and put into a new sleeve (pictured). Since then, it has been stored in my collection and played rarely. There are no feelable marks. Although I do take care of my collection, I cannot prevent them from gathering dust as I don't have a clean room to store them in. It has not been cleaned in 5 yrs and I recommend cleaning before playing ANY VINYL. 
The surface is inky black with a very good shine with some sleeve wear. No spindle wear which is common for records that are played repeatedly.
