This is "The Light" by Hannibal and the Sunrise Orchestra - a rare and in demand LP on the Japanese Baystate label. Features Hannibal Marvin Peterson on trumpet, koto, and bells. Also features Michael Cochrane on piano, Diedre Murray on cello, Cecil McBee on bass, and David Lee on drums and percussions. Guesting on a few tracks are Marcella Allen(voice), Stanley Robinson(conga) and Roland Love(conga). To top it all off, the Reverend Frank Wright guests on bass clarinet on the 14 minute long piece 'the light'!

One of the best spiritual jazz albums I have ever heard with some amazing free jazz elements. Fans of Strata East, Jef Gilson, FMP, BYG, Black Jazz, etc take note.

Cover is in EX+ condition with just some VERY minor hints of agewear. No seam splits and spine is fully intact and readable. Vinyl is NM and has white label promo labels. Plays perfect! Has rare OBI and insert too. A top notch copy you will not need to upgrade!
