Original Italian pressing on the AGUAMANDA label (AG 9014), from 1974. Deeply stoned Brazilian lounge and rare groove by the cult arranger and musician. Spellbinding and funky mood music from Magia Erotica aka A Virgem De Saint Tropez aka Annie The Virgin Of Saint Tropez film score. An obscure French / Brazilian co-production directed by Zygmunt Sulistrowski starring Annie Friedmann and Hugo Jorge. An eclectic, Italian-only 7inch, gleamed from a soundtrack released in Brazil in 1974 on the Fermata label. However, many prefer the superior Italian issue Lp with its alternative sleeve artwork (as used for this single). Licensed in Italy by Augusto Martelli and distributed via his own private label. A mini masterpiece by Salvanini who mixes up hippie psychedelia / funk and  jazz with mid '70s euro exploitation appeal. Features the sublime seediness of YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY FROM YOUR DESTINY with hallucinogenic orchestrations a la Marcos Valle cum Arthur Verocai and the ever so sleazy vocals of Edu Franca. This is the mesmerising theme heard during the opening titles of the film. COPACABANA ROCK is the fender rhodes funk side with banging congas / B-Boy drums / wah wah / fuzz distortions and groovy blaxploitation style horn section. Lots of spacey electric piano by Salvanini and fabulous drum skills by Toniquinho of Edgar e Os Tais - Cantarida Lp infamy. Most copies of this single are usually quite trashed in reality and in our experience, practically impossible to find in top condition, regardless of what others may say. Our copy is as good as it gets (for us anyway). Sexy nude artwork sleeve. Rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG spacin' out spaced spaced-out

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some hairlines / faint scuffs and faded old pressing marks. Light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks but mostly to the gentle "You Can't Run Away..." side (as you can hear on our soundclip). The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall regardless of some corner or edge wear and light ring creasing from storage. Small pen writing to middle of front and back sleeve. Rare OST 45!!!
