Description
Unbelievably lavish release from Cameron Crowe's Vinyl Films record label of the soundtrack to this glorious movie. This highly collectible gatefold package is pretty epic and includes the following items (which you can see in the photo):
* vinyl soundtrack album featuring Cat Stevens's lovely music * bonus 7" with previously unreleased tracks (and tiny lyric sheet for these two songs) * extensive 36-page full-color booklet filled with never-before-seen photographs and an oral history of the making of the film and the music, as told by the filmmakers and participants * 2 x foldout 18? x 24? posters * little strip of paper (I think they call it a j-card) included to show people who might have seen the record in the shop what's inside
This record would be near mint but for the fact that there is a surface scratch on track 2 on side 2. The song pops and clicks quietly a couple of times when played, but the needle doesn't jump. I have played this album only once ever, basically just this track, to test if the scratch caused any problems. Also one of the posters has small blobs of very slight oil discolouration in the corners where it had been briefly stuck to a wall with Blu-Tak. That said, this is a very rare package in beautiful condition, which seldom crops up on eBay and goes for a hill of beans whenever it does.
