HAROLD McNAIR--THE FENCE
B & C Records CAS 1016--ENGLAND IMPORT LP
Harold Mcnair started out as a Sax & Flute player in the Bahamas before coming to the U.K. in the very early 1960's. His immense talents on his instruments had him team up with visiting big name Jazz musicians from the U.S. as well as those on the English scene. During his career Mcnair played on many Rock sessions too, many with Donovan, Ginger Baker and CCS. 'The Fence' is a 1970 ENGLAND IMPORT LP that has McNair leading a large group that has among them Rick Grech, Keith Tippett, Terry Cox, Danny Thompson, Tony Carr and more, all excellent players. A unique gatefold jacket houses this LP, as that little square pink pouch on the front appears to have a balloon inside it. We don't want to pull it apart, but that's what it appears to be.
