HAYSTACKS BALBOA "HAYSTACKS BALBOA'' POLYDOR 24-4032 1970 IN SHRINK
A grossly neglected Heavy Rock band from Long Island New York, who were able to record this sole album with legendary produce Shadow Morton on the dials. This is way cool K-I-L-L-E-R ROCK ! Molten guitar riffs from Mark Mayo and some fine vocals by Bruce Scott. The band took their lessons from Cream/ Leslie West led Vagrants/ELP/Zepplin. Unfortunately their label lacked in the suppport department and quickly lost interest and the band folded by '71. But they left us with this Hard Rock Gem. "Spoiler'', "Auburn Queen", "Sticky Finger" and "Ode to the Silken Men"coming in at eight plus minutes are a few of the seven original tunes included here. Nuff Said....HEAVY
