Beautiful copy of the rare original 1941 first pressing of Hazel Scott's Swinging the Classics album on Decca 3-78rpm set 212. Wonderful piano solos jazzing up the classics, like Rachmaninoff, Bach, Chopin, Etc. This was one of the great statements of that swing-era attempt to incorporate "art" music into their repertoire. A rally original and lovely record. This copy is on the original maroon Decca labels, with better sound than the more common later pressing. All three discs are in simply gorgeous condition, with only the slightest surface scuffing, but barely. They play crisply and clearly and just beautifully. The cover has a little general shelfwear, mainly at the edges and right corners. Not bad. Otherwise really a good condition cover, with a perfectly intact and clean spine and strong binding. This is a top original copy, hard to beat.
