One recent reviewer describes the music on this album as "a demented fusion of ’69 era heavy psych and ’66 era garage punk" . A 2006 promotion of the CD reissue describes the album this way: "This underground New York psychedelic project has a unique sound – soulful vocals, fluid Hammond organ, fuzzy bass, distorted lead guitars, lots of weird percussion instruments, augmented by unexpected stereo effects."

An anonymous Dutch fan calls this "a very special album" and makes a detailed track-by-track analysis of the record, citing influences on the album ranging from Arthur Brown to James Brown, and, regarding the "Revolution" cover: "The original idea was to mix Beatles with contemporary music (Schönberg and Mahler) into a new trip of music, making new music in a true ‘progressive’ edge." .

The accolades are not unanimous, however. The exhaustive Acid Archives describes the album as "full of sound effects, fuzz guitar and creative arrangements, but without the songs to elevate it to keeper status. A couple of Beatles covers are particularly ill-advised. The heavier songs are probably the highlights."

·                               CONDITION:

·                               RECORD

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG VG++. A few light abrasions  ARE VISIBLE, but they appear fairly  insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are only moderately visually distracting. For most part, the vinyl looks impeccable, without any MAJOR visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            The record is pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(c)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

THE COVER IS ABOUT VERY GOOD- / very good minus /  (VG-).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has a major  'bump' (dent) on the opening side  (VISIBLE ON BACK SIDE ONLY)  repaired on the back panel with a 2-inch wide piece of clear scotch tape

-        A visible water stain affects the area about 1 inch wide along the spine; there is no structural damage to the cover, and both cardboard base and paper slick are intact, however, the stain is visible

-         Cover has some visible ring wear; On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 4  (front side) and 6 (back side).

-         The front cover has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record),  probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution.

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on front side, apparently from aging

-         Cover has some visible fraying/tattering on all three seams

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine  (nothing significant)

-         Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged  (nothing significant)

-         The cover has a few tiny scratch marks on the back side (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a partially split spine (between 4 and 6 inches  / 10 to 15 centimeters)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No stickers or labels

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
