Description

Original 1967 U.S. stereo press of LP on Capitol rainbow label
HEARTS & FLOWERS titled "Now is the Time for Hearts & Flowers"
CONDITION:
cover: Excellent
tiny wear to right corners & lite cover crease upper left
bb upper right ~ still has original shrink ~ shrink is a bit torn & loose
(but it's done a good job of keeping the cover clean over all these years)
vinyl: Excellent
super clean with high gloss ~ a couple of tiny marks per side
& a couple of very faint hairlines on side 2 ~ all superficial surface
looks great & plays excellent with just an occasional odd lite tick
here’s an excerpt from Joynson’s review
from his psych reference " Fuzz Acid & Flowers":
Masterfully produced by Nick Venet (Fred Neil, Stone Poneys, Euphoria , Mad River ,
Now Is The Time For Hearts And Flowers is a real gem. The choice of material is
outstanding, with excellent covers of Tim Hardin's Reason To Believe, Hoyt Axton 's 10,000 Sunsets,
Carole King's Road To Nowhere and Donovan's Try For The Sun, plus two songs
of contemporary groups: Please, the Kaleidoscope song and Rock And Roll Gypsies by Gypsy Trips
Their original songs were penned by Murray, Cunha and Marty Cooper.
The vocals are brilliant and Venet added some good production tricks, with some effects, violin, electric bass
