A genuinely snotty, upbeat blues groove topped off my one of Heinz's wildest guitar breaks ever, plainly encouraged to just go nuts by his mentor Meek.
When it rumbles in two thirds through the cut, chaotic, dark and twisted it elevates this record from being simply one of the great late-beat period 45s to one of the true harbingers of coming psych.
Hearing this it is incredible to think that Heinz had only one more 45 left to record before the career limbo that followed Joe Meek's death eighteen months on.
And what a superb example this is. The vinyl is in rich, glossy high-end excellent to mint minus status. The labels are deep black and silver with no rips or writing and just the very faintest quarter inch of what is possibly sticker residue to the left of Columbia's "A" .
Truth is, nobody would have handed this copy back to the store had they been sold it all those forty three years ago in 1965. It's a real collectors keeper right down to it's original crisp EMI Columbia bag.
This is a great, hard driving beat record featuring two of 60s music's great pioneers working at the top of their game.
