RUMOURED FOR YEARS to be Deep Purple, moonlighting to earn a few extra spondulas in a below table deal to help out with the rent and food. Pre-internet, this album was being hyped big time but recent investigation has revealed that it is not DP but a bunch of faceless session players, thought to be German, who recorded this record for exploitative purposes - the budget label hoping to cash in on the 'latest' pop psychedelic sounds of the late 60s. One thing for sure, they caught the mood brilliantly as its a primo example of that era's sound - and a superb replication of Deep Purple's late 60s style. Marble Arch was a budget label mostly sold through the chain store Woolworths - it was cheap and plentiful but these days its become something of a psych collectors dream ticket as the music is full on heavy psych at it's best.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks visible and no other signs of any use. Grades as top shop fresh MINT!
Cover: Minimal signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated flip back laminated cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, stiff and square. Rear unlaminated panel is unusually clean and tidy. Displays just a hint of storage wear and little scratch on the front laminate. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 51 years after release. Grades as top Ex+
