Description
Decca, U.S., 1972.
EX/ VG+
Punch hole top corner, small edge crease and light corner bends at opening. Lp looks clean, has some surface noise in dead wax before and between some songs, quickly clears up or is buried under the heaviness of the music. Some more pronounced noise at beginning of side 2, again this is soon covered by the music.
Light years beyond the first HELP album, this second lp offering is an impressive, driving guitar-led, 70s psych opus. A warm, slightly over-driven, reverby, tube-amp guitar sound with many fast chord changes and tight rhythmic backing characterizes the powerful opening track, "Can You Understand The Words," which sets the tone for the whole album. Lp has seven songs, all of them rockers. A great, West Coast-sounding acid-psych/ early 70s guitar hard rock crossover lp, somewhat on the heavy side for 1972. Recommended.
