Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

- a hard rock affair loaded with Jimi Hendrix guitar energies
- throughout both sides.
- .......................................................
This record just may deserve a wider recognition being contained filled with killer heavy acid ingredients ... Hendrix/hard psych fans may interpret as absolutely essential.
- Think in terms of "Black Merda" and "Velvert Turner" LP's -f not better than ... similar to '67 era Hendrix recordings but with freakier drumming and vocals.
Most of this set feels like a logical progression in similar to Jimi's groove and vibe.
- Headed by Norman Stone's '60's "psychedelic-soul" productions with the Temptations ("Psychedelic Shack") etc in near same time may well have had an influence here as well.
- Most of the 10 cuts are excellent freak-psych/rock with funky grooves and vocals. You can hear for yourself 'Give You Plenty Lovin' for instance in an almost 10-minute dirge-come-psych guitar onslaught.
- Other tracks, are tight, bendy funk-psych sidewinders.
- ..................................................................
The extent to which this Curtis Knight influenced Hendrix LP remains never close to be fairly established ... by the time "Down In The Village" was made, Knight was clearly dedicated to his former guitarist.
- After Hendrix's September 1970 death, Curtis Knight moved to London and penned a biography in reflections of JIMI, then another album naming it "Zeus" (included guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke, later to join the most famous formation of Motorhead)
- ALSO included in this offering is a half-side ACETATE LP
- (circa 1970) that was left unfinished & never released
- (in same hard funk psych direction)
- Impossible to ever find, ever again ... how many copies were pressed as such? Under ten or less = is best guess (?)

- "Dimensional Sound" ACETATE-only release (circa 1970)
