Description
Ultra Ultra Rare - I've never heard of or seen this anywhere else ... not sure what it even is! It is the original line up (Jimi, Mitch, and Noel). Sound like they're working out some of their tunes - studio/demos, etc. Very long experimental workout versions of "Voodo Chile", "Purple Haze", "3RD Stone From The Sun", and what is listed as "First Trial: Star Spangled Banner"... very trippy! There are also small bits of live audience responses/cheering, etc. There is one skip at the end of side B. Otherwise, the vinyl plays great throughout (but with kind of a low-fi sound due to the recording environment/condition of the sessions. This is like no other Hendrix I've ever heard ... intense jamming with Jimi pulling out all the stops and working out all his guitar tricks! The label is blank yellow. In the outer groove it is stamped VC 6970. As seen in the photos (be sure to look at all 8 of them) - the jacket is thin and shiny, has pics on both front and back but DOESN'T CLOSE! It has no bends inside for the vinyl to actually catch and hold the album. This album was given to me many many years ago from musician friend who is no longer with us so I don't know the story but it looks like it came like that - probably a boot that had kept the record stable until you took the plastic off the cover. The cover also has some normal wear and scuffs and there is also a category number sticker in the top left of the cover (see in photo) from being in my friends record collection. Anyway, for a die-hard Jimi collector this is a MUST! This could be a one of a kind. Look at ALL the photos to understand what this is all about.
And thanks for looking.
